Totems of New Jersey's three Lenni Lanape Indian sub-tribes that form a stylized totem pole. The wild turkey of the Unalachtigo at the top, the wolf of the Minsi in the middle, and the turtle of the Unami at the bottom. At the base of the totem are a Cavalier facing right with the seal of the Eastern Division of New Jersey at his feet and a Quaker facing left with the seal of the Council of Proprietors, Western Division at his feet. Along the rim are 21 icons separated by 21 small Tercentenary icons, each representing a county in New Jersey. These figures include a purple violet, a leaf from a red oak tree, eastern Goldfinch, light bulb, vase, lighthouse, crossbar and football, the Princeton and Rutgers seals, the State House dome, an atom, steamboat and sailboat at sea, striped bass, diver, transistor, suspension bridge, cow, rooster, jet airliner, church, and beaker and test tube.
