The old emblem of the United Arab Emirates used between 1973 and 2008.
It consists of a falcon of Saladin. The falcon has a disk which shows 2 dhows (Arab sailboats) in its interior. The disk is surrounded by a chain. The falcon holds with its talons a parchment bearing the name of the federation in Kufic script.

The Rulers of the UAE medals set is thought to be a silver pattern set, struck for the occasion of the UAE national day between 1976-1981. Exact issue date isn't confirmed, with only 1 set known to exist currently.
