1931 Walter Hagen Canadian Open Gold Medal. After returning from Australia in 1930 'The Haig' was checking over his golf record when he found that he had yet to win the Canadian Open. He signed up to play in Canada, and let it be known to several of his cronies that he intended to win. He finished with a 292 which appeared to be untouchable, until Percy Alliss finished with five consecutive 3's to tie. In the thirty-six hole playoff Sir Walter overcame a two hole deficit to win on the final hole. Some of his friends flew his trophy back to Detroit, while 'The Haig' went fishing. This is a well documented unsigned medal, in outstanding condition. Measures 1.25".
