Comment
The RMS Queen Mary first sailed in 1936. She was built as part of two-ship team that rotated their travels to America and back. During WWII, she was outfitted to transport Allied Forces as part the war effort. She was refitted as a passenger ship until her retirement in 1967. The City of Long Beach, California, bought her in 1967 and set her up at a permanently-moored tourist attraction, including use as a convention center.
