A spilled cornucopia, a barrel with TO FRANCE (right), the dove of peace above; two ships under sail in distance (left and centre), one at anchor (right). Lettering above, continuous laurel wreath border. Signed DAVIES under spilled contents of cornucopia.

Comment
Unusual in that it is not holed and smaller than the KETTLE version. On the obverse the 8 in 1801 is different then the KETTLE version. On the reverse, the A of PEACE is an inverted V and the V of DAVIES appears to be an inverted A and/or an overstrike of another letter.
There is a gold gilt DAVIES version, shown at the Heritage (Auction) site.
