Comment
The pontifical pavilion on Trocadero hill, not far from the German pavilion, remained exceptionally in place after the 1937 Universal Exhibition.Designed by P. Tournon, it was renamed the Marian Pavilion in 1938 to mark the 300th anniversary of Louis XIII's vow.
Originally located at the top of the pontifical pavilion "Notre Dame de France", La Viège, carrying the Child high with arms open to the world, was finally lowered when the pavilion was demolished after November 1, 1938.
