Parc Güell is one of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí's achievements in Barcelona, and is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. It was built between 1900 and 1914. Architects José Antonio Martínez Lapeña and Elías Torres restored it between 1984 and 1993. This restoration has given rise to controversy, notably concerning the ceramic cladding of the undulating bench on the terrace of Parc Güell.
