Comment

The French Revolution of 1848 was the second French revolution of the 19th century; it took place in Paris on February 23, 24 and 25, 1848. Under the impulse of liberals and republicans and following an unfortunate shooting, Paris rose again and managed to take control of the capital. Louis-Philippe, refusing to launch the assault on the Parisians, was forced to abdicate in favor of his grandson on February 24. But the revolutionaries imposed a provisional republican government, killing the July Monarchy and creating the Second Republic on February 25, 1848.
