Comment

Øresundsmedaljen is designed by sculptor Trine Maria Høy. The Royal Danish Mint has manufactured stamps, and minted medals, which are sold to benefit Danish Red Cross' relief work. The bridge is almost 10 mile long. The last portion on the Denmark side goes underwater in a tunnel from a man made island to the main land. Øresundsbro Konsortiet is a Swedish-Danish company owned equally by the Swedish and the Danish state. The company owns and operates the Øresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden. There have been several postage stamps made representing the bridge. Photo of some Oresund bridge stamps included here. The photos I have included are the satelite view. The SS Malano which is supposed to be on the token. It is not. The steamship on the token was used on the Orelund straight but is not the SS Malono which only had one stack.
