One of a series of medals produced for the 1967 opening of the Miners' Museum in Glace Bay, NS.
This is the “Black Ore” version (GLA-01a), which is heavier and darker than the “Gray Ore” version (GLA-01b).
There are several types that are two sided and some that are single sided, in various metal combinations.
