This token, by the famous Jean Dassier, born in GENEVA on 17.08.1676 and died there on November 12, 1763, is part of the Roman Republic series produced between 1740 and 1743.
It refers to Marcs Furius Camillus and the weighing of the ransom to BRENNUS, King of the Gauls in the 4th century BC (-365).
A book of DASSIER et fils tokens was published in 1778.
