Comment
The provincial seal shows a woman's tongue tree (Albizia lebbeck) in front of rice fields, symbolizing the richness of resources in the province. The provincial tree symbol was assigned to the province in 1994 by Queen Sirikit.Phra That Na Dun, also known as the Buddhist Park of Isan (the Northeast), is a significant historic and archeological site. The most important artifact uncovered is the stupa (Chedi), which is believed to enshrine the holy relics of Lord Buddha, which had gold, silver, and bronze caskets, originating from the Dvaravati period of the 8th-10th century.
