Together with the Marshall museum, the war museum forms the Liberty Park. The Marshall museum is an extremely large hall filled with vehicles and planes from WWII. The other part, the actual war museum, is focused on the war in the Netherlands and the Battle of Overloon. This was the only tank battle ever in the Netherlands, in the aftermath of operation Market Garden. This part also contains tanks, but also information about war in the Netherlands, with photos from the hunger winter of 1944 and the liberation and about the unfolding of events during the German invasion in 1940. There is info. about the persecution of Jews, about Engelandvaarders, about interrogation techniques in the 'Orange hotel', resistance and casualties. Outdoors there are some statues, tanks, and a Bailey bridge.
