The engraver
Joseph Witterwulghe (1883-1967) was a Belgian sculptor and medallist. He was a professor at the Institut des Arts et Métiers in Brussels for 28 years. Witterwulghe occasionally painted landscapes, while as a sculptor he produced busts, funerary monuments, portraits and statues, with a preference for figures and scenes of daily life.
