Since the 1960s exhibition company Pomurski sejem (Organizer) has been striving for quality, as well for sake of their partners’. The aim is for best products and services as well as for the improvement of quality in general. Shortly after the first International Fair of Agriculture and Food was held, Organizer started with the organization of quality assessments of wines, meat and meat products, milk and milk products... In cooperation with top experts, Organizer with cooperation with experts had developed an objective, anonymous and consistent quality measurement system. In order to evaluate the quality of food products, Organizer had been working with experts from the University of Ljubljana and experts from the University of Maribor in the evaluation of agricultural technology. Organizer is also evaluating honey with the cooperation of experts from the Slovenian Beekeeping Association. The evaluation system, which has been developed over the decades, is unique in Slovenia and is certainly at the level of the best in the world. With regard to the increasing number of samples and the increasing international participation in the quality assessments, the assessment commissions have been supplemented with international experts and their specific expertise.
