Comment

The Coronation of the British monarch George V that took place in London on 22nd of June 1911.
This event was a perfect occasion for many entitities, corporations and associations to honour the new King. Therefore, numerous private issues of medals, medalets and medallions occurred in advance of this event.
The medal is one of them and is part of a wider series of similar bronze and brass medals engraved by the same William James Dingley, an English engraver from Birmingham.
