This medal was commissioned and made by Royal Begeer (Koninklijke Begeer) after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The medal was designed by the Belgian/Dutch artist Pol Dom. The medal was made in bronze, silver and gold and in different sizes. All the revenues after selling this medal went to the Dutch activities of the Peace Corps.
