Comment

The Jesse Owens Bronze Medal from the U.S. Mint recognizes his athletic achievements and humanitarian contributions to public service, civil rights and international goodwill. This medal is the bronze replica of the Congressional Gold Medal awarded to Jesse Owens.

The reverse lettering was suggested by the Owens family and his friends as the qualities he stood for and preached to young people.
