The 1.5” medal is a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal awarded to Jackie Robinson for his legacy in the advancement of civil rights in the United States.

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball, and in 1962 was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame. In 1997 he became the first African-American to be honored on a gold U.S. commemorative coin.
