Sculpture of the tragic character Job, one of the most expressive and moving works of Meštrović in general, created in time of his personal misfortunes. The sketch for Job was made in a prison cell where he was placed in November 1941 by the Ustasha authorities of the Independent State of Croatia when he decided to emigrate to England. Meštrović spent three and a half months in prison, where he was abused and ill, awaiting death.- Individual box (900 pieces)
