Comment
The Exposition was to celebrate the openings of both the Golden Gate and San Francisco-Oakland Bridges; the former being, "longest single suspension span in the world"; and the latter the, "largest structure of its kind in the history of man." It ran February 18, 1939-October 29, 1939 and May 25-September 29, 1940.This token is a "spinner" token which means the dot in the middle of the obverse will slightly elevate the token and allow it to spin around presumably using the directions of the compass on the reverse as reference points.
