Brown: This is a box containing twelve circular coloured prints illustrating naval events from Rodney's victory in 1782 to the bombardment of Algiers in 1816. On the inside of the lid and bottom is a monochrome print of a compass in the form of a star resting on an anchor. The reverse of each coloured disc has a descriptive text: the events depicted are Lord Rodney's Victory; Lord Howe's Victory; Battle of the Nile; Victory at Copenhagen; Lord Nelson at Trafalgar; Sir R. Strachan's Victory; Boarding the Chesapeake; Bonaparte on the Northumberland; Storming of Algiers and Slaves delivered in Algiers.
