Reverse
Britannia seated on rock with shield and rudder, at her feet a cherub with an open book showing Irish harp and figure XIX
Script: Latin
Lettering: NULLA DIES PACEM NEC FOEDERA RUMPET
Translation: No day shall break either the peace or the treaties
Engraver: John Gregory Hancock
Comment
Brown: The figure XIX on the left-hand page of the book may, perhaps, refer to the formal reconciliation between Britain and Russia that took place on the 19th June 1801. In this case the fact that the reverse legend refers to 'treaties' rather than 'treaty' would be completely accurate. It has not been possible to link the figure XIX with any particular aspect of the Anglo-Irish union.
