The medal is connected by means of an eye and a ring to a pentagonal block covered with a silk ribbon which is the same as that of the Saint George's Order.The medal was confered in 1945 to all military personnel and civilian employees who served during WWII in the ranks of the Red Army, Marine and NKVD.
