Comment
Wyon's medal "For Success in Art," with the youthful head of Victoria, remained in use for nearly half her reign. A gold specimen was presented to the American painter George F. Munn.Dated 1856 on obverse, with year of presentation engraved on edge.
Issed in an official Science and Art Department case of issue with VR cypher, bronzed proof-like finish, nearly FDC.
