This souvenir Medal was given to school children.It was issued to commemorate the visit of Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall (He later became King George V), who travelled to New Zealand on the H.M.S. OPHIR and arrived in New Zealand on June 11th 1901
