The Catholic School Committee was established in 1847 as the Catholic Poor School Committee to provide primary education for the children of poor Catholic families in Great Britain. In 1888 the Committee was renamed the Catholic Schools Committee, and in 1905 it became the Catholic Education Council. So the date of this medal is the period 1888 to 1905.
