Comment
In 2010, Windsor Mint brought out a twelve-coin series commemorating British banknote designs. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity, with the front and back pages identical (apart from the issue number) and bearing the logo of the Bayerisches Münzkontor below this number. The inside pages provide technical information about the coin and the history about the specific banknote each coin commemorates. This coin shows the £5 Series E (Historical) banknote featuring George Stephenson, the famous engineer who created the Rocket steam locomotive. It was first issued in 1993.
