Comment
In 2010, Windsor Mint brought out a twelve-coin series commemorating British banknote designs. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity, with the front and back pages identical (apart from the issue number) and bearing the logo of the Bayerisches Münzkontor below this number. The inside pages provide technical information about the coin and the history about the specific banknote each coin commemorates. This coin shows the £1000 note, first issued in 1725 until it was discontinued in 1943. Please note: the certificate has an error, saying the note was discontinued in 1945, not 1943 as the coin itself says.
