The engraver is probably Ottone Hamerani (1694-1761).He worked with Clement XII and his successors Benedict XIV and Clement XIII, engraving several medals. He also engraved several medals in the name of James Francis Edward Stuart, a Jacobite pretender to the throne of England. He became master of the mint of Rome in 1734 and held this position until his death.
