The Bankaw Revolt (1621 - 1622) was a religious uprising against Spanish colonial rule led by Bankaw, Datu of Limasawa, Carigara, Abuyog, and Sogod (now part of Southern Leyte). The Tamblot Uprising influenced Bankaw to start his own revolt, together with his two sons and one daughter, and a babaylan named Pagali. He convinced 6 other villages to join the revolt.Price
