Comment

These medals were struck by the Royal Australian Mint and issued by the Western Pacific Banking Corporation (Westpac) in 1992 to celebrate 175 years of the bank. This was Australia's first bank and was originally called "The Bank of New South Wales. All profits from the sale of the medals were donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to help with work being done to protect endangered species. The six medals represent six Australian endangered species. The medals were issued in a large folding coincard inside a slipcase.
