Comment
The marriage contract between Britain and Denmark was signed on 15 January 1863 and the date set for 10 March 1863. The marriage of Albert Edward (Bertie), Prince of Wales, the eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and Princess Alexandra of Denmark took place in St George's Chapel, Windsor. This medallion is but one of the many examples celebrating the Royal Wedding. It is holed, perhaps indicating that it was meant to be worn on a ribbon on the day.
