Comment

Support token, probably sold, to thank Holland for having sheltered Belgian children during the 1914-1918 war.

The engraver PETIT, Georges, was born in LILLE(France) on March 14, 1879 of a Belgian family, and died in AMPSIN(Belgium) on December 28, 1958. He was above all a renowned sculptor and medal-maker.

This medal was produced by the publisher J.LISSOIR in LIEGE, hence the initials J L in the hallmark.
