President Trump’s recognition of the centrality of Jerusalem as the Capital of the State of Israel has caused many people, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to compare President Trump to Cyrus the Great.
But why Cyrus the Great?

Cyrus is known historically as one of the most humanitarian, merciful & pluralistic conquerors of all ages, by allowing his subjects to continue to live and practice their religion and traditions in peace.

One of Cyrus’s most merciful acts was to free the Jews from exile & captivity in Babylon. Cyrus enabled them to return to their promised land, restored them to Jerusalem & gave them the right to rebuild the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

This coin was produced as an expression of immense joy and gratitude to President Trump, following the announcement that the American Embassy will be transferred to Jerusalem in honor of Israel’s 70th Independence Day.

The Hebraic text excerpted above:

‎כה אמר כורש מלך פרס כל ממלכות הארץ נתן לי יהוה אלהי השמים והוא פקד עלי לבנות לו בית בירושלם אשר ביהודה מי בכם מכל עמו יהוה אלהיו עמו ויעל
Ezra 1 2-3
2 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
“‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. 3 Any of his people among you may go up to Jerusalem in Judah and build the temple of the Lord, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem, and may their God be with them.
In the reverse :
Isaiah 60 8 - “Who are these, flying along like clouds, like doves to their dovecotes?
