Comment
The Grande Loge de France is the oldest and most important French obedience in the practice of traditional, initiatory and spiritualist Freemasonry. It is the continuation of the first Parisian Lodges of 1728, and of the first Grand Lodge constituted in Paris in 1738.The Grande Loge de France was structured in its present form in Paris on November 7, 1894, by the reunification of the various currents of so-called "Scottish" Masonry, in reference to the rite it practises almost exclusively, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, the most widely practised Masonic rite in the world.
