Lorenz Hutschenreuther (May 8, 1817 in Hohenberg an der Eger; † October 8, 1886 in Würzburg)Historical information about the Lorenz Hutschenreuther Aktiengesellschaft in Selb, the "City of Porcelain". August 10, 1857 is considered the founding date, on which Lorenz Hutschenreuther was granted a concession by the government in Bayreuth "In the name of His Majesty the King to set up and operate a porcelain factory in Selb". This process was the beginning of a development in the course of which Lorenz Hutschenreuther Aktiengesellschaft was able to achieve a brilliant rise.
