Comment

Queen Máxima was born Maxima Zorreguieta on 17 May 1971 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Queen Maxima has two brothers, a sister and three half-sisters. She spends most of her childhood in her hometown. In Buenos Aires she finds her first job after her studies at the University of Argentina. She also teaches English to children and adults. In 1996 she moves to New York, where she continues her career.
During this period she meets Prince Willem-Alexander and a love affair blossoms. Not long afterwards, Maxima moves to Brussels to hold a position for the Deutsche Bank, but above all to live closer to Willem-Alexander.
On February 2, 2002, Maxima and Willem-Alexander get married. They have three daughters of which Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia is the eldest (2003). As Queen of the Netherlands, Maxima is very popular among the Dutch people. Her smile and disarmed approach are a revelation for the royal family.
