MARIE-THÉRÈSE OF AUSTRIA
Marie Thérèse (1638-1683) was the daughter of Philip IV of Spain and Elizabeth of France, daughter of Henry IV and Marie de Medici. She was born in 1638, like her cousin the King, to whom she is betrothed after the Treaty of the Pyrenees of 7 November 1659. She married June 9, 1660 at Saint-Jean-de-Luz and had six children , only one survived, Louis, the Grand Dauphin (1661-1711). She died July 30, 1683. Louis XIV secretly married his second wife with the Marquise de Maintenon in 1683 (1638-1719).
