Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral (in Strasbourg Alsatian: Liebfrauimünschter z'Stroosburi or Stroosburjer Münschter; in German: Liebfrauenmünster zu Straßburg or Straßburger Münster) is a Gothic cathedral located in Strasbourg, in the Bas-Rhin department, part of the Alsace European Community.https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cath%C3%A9drale_Notre-Dame_de_Strasbourg
Strasbourg's coat of arms, or armorial bearings, is a figurative representation established in its current form in 1919, although its first uses date back to the 13th century. The elements of the coat of arms are inherited from the episcopal principality and free imperial city that administered Strasbourg in the Middle Ages.
The coat of arms reads: "Argent, a bend Gules". It forms the shield to which is added an external ornament (notably a helmet, crown, lions and the Legion of Honor) to form the city's coat of arms.
