Joe Dalton is the oldest, smallest (4 feet 7 inches tall = 1.40 m in the 2009 animated series), meanest and (relatively) smartest. He hates Lucky Luke viscerally and would do anything to bring him down (the mere mention of his name always sends him into a tizzy, and his signature line is: "I hate Lucky Luke! I hate Lucky Luke!"). But either the cowboy is particularly lucky, or murder is not one of the Dalton cousins' practices. Joe will have many opportunities to satisfy his hatred, but will always suspend his action for a defensible reason. The two men sometimes even have almost brotherly discussions. Joe also hates Rantanplan. He has frequent run-ins with Averell. He sometimes gets into fights with the prison guards, as well as with anyone else.Price
