The cave of Dargilan, (nicknamed "the pink cave") is located in Lozere near Meyrueis.Discovered at the end of the autumn 1880 by Sahuquet, a young shepherd then in pursuit of a fox, it is necessary to wait until 1888 for the speleologist Édouard-Alfred Martel to make a complete exploration. It was developed and opened to the public in 1890.
