Joseph-Dominique d'Inguimbert, in religion Dom Malachie, born in Carpentras on August 26, 1683 and died in Carpentras on September 6, 1757, prelate and librarian, was bishop of Carpentras from 1735 to 1754, and rector of the Comtat Venaissin in 1745. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph-Dominique_d%27InguimbertThe Inguimbertine Library is the classified municipal library of Carpentras. It comprises public reading collections (adult and youth sections), heritage bibliographic collections and museum collections recognized as Musée de France (presented in two locations, the Musée Comtadin-Duplessis and the Musée Sobirats). Since 1897, it has been one of 54 municipal libraries classified as the most important in France.
