Much more recent is the Chêne de l'Ascension, so named because it was inaugurated during this festival. It is located at the top of one of the slopes of Ponts Quentin, in plot 10. Its imposing mass, visible from afar, stands out in the middle of a plantation of red oaks. This Sessile Oak is currently the second largest tree in the forest, after the Baudet Oak, with a circumference of 5.15 m (1.65 m diameter) and a height of 26 m. http://www.cerf78.fr/images/stories/docs/Bulletins%20cerf/bull24_25/bull24_25_Les%20arbres%20remarquables%20du%20massif%20de%20Rambouillet.pdfPrice
