The Pont des Amours is a footbridge located on the banks of Lake Annecy at the entrance to the Canal du Vassé; its official name is "Passerelle du Jardin Public", but the people of Annecy have long since renamed it "Pont des Amours". It links the Pâquier to the Jardins de l'Europe, where lovers used to seek refuge and tranquillity. Urban legend has it that two lovers kissing in the middle of the bridge will be united for life. Another source mentions that the Pont des Amours owes its name to its former use as a meeting place for prostitutes' love affairs. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pont_des_Amours

The Palais de l'Île is an ancient 12th-century fortified house, altered several times, located on an islet formed by the Thiou River. Formerly used as a prison, it is now a showcase for the architecture and heritage of the Annecy conurbation, offering a permanent tour of the area's history and heritage. You can visit the former courtrooms, cells and dungeons, as well as the former chapel. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_de_l%27Isle
