Comment

The abbey was founded in 1125 by Amédée de Lausanne, with the help of Count Amédée III of Savoy and the support of Bernard de Clairvaux, and built during the 12th century by Cistercian monks. It is particularly known for being the necropolis of the House of Savoy (counts of Savoy, their family, and some members of the ducal family of Savoy) and then of some kings and queens of Italy. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbaye_d%27Hautecombe
