Comment
Struck under Etienne de Neuilly, provost from 1582 to 1585. Feuardent considers this to be a German manufacture, although the token is not signed, but this hardly seems certain. The municipal administration of Paris used tokens for its accounts, as did all administrations. Over time, the function of account tokens was replaced by one of social representation. (CGB)
