Mining numismatics was the subject of a study by Jules Florange in 1904. He listed the numismatic material relating to mines: medals, attendance tokens, necessity tokens or fiduciary coins, mining superintendents' tokens. Another remarkable work was carried out by the Association des Collectionneurs de Jetons-Monnaie in 1999.
