Louise de Lorraine-Vaudémont (b. April 30, 1553 at Château de Nomeny - d. January 29, 1601 in Moulins) was born of the Vaudémont branch, the youngest of the House of Lorraine, and a cousin of the Guise family and Duke Charles III of Lorraine. She was Queen of France from 1575 to 1589, following her marriage to Henri III of France. After her husband's death, she was abandoned and led a life of retirement and austerity. (Wikipedia)
