Known as DWM, this armaments company was founded in 1896. As well as being one of Imperial Germany's leading arms suppliers, the company was at the forefront of small arms technology. In particular, they supplied the world with the Mauser rifle system and the Luger pistol.
After the war, the Berlin branch of the company turned to the renovation and construction of railway and public transport equipment.
